WELCOME TO THE TREASURE COAST BONSAI SOCIETY WEB PAGE

We welcome you to come on in and take a look at us. Our meetings are fun and informative and our membership ranges from beginners to Masters. We meet the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Lucie Agriculture Center at 8400 Picos Road, Fort Pierce, Florida. Click HERE for driving directions.

The level of information presented is designed to satisfy the appetite of all members. Our club sponsors a number of activities during the year:

ADAMS RANCH DIG:
This historically has taken place around the end of January. Club members can collect a number of types of trees to make bonsais out of. The varieties include, cypress, Florida elm, Florida maple and Simpson stopper. This is always a club favorite.

BONSAI SOCIETIES OF FLORIDA (BSF)VISITING ARTIST PROGRAM:
BSF provides bonsai artists from around the world to do programs for our club. The club selects the artists that they want to have for a meeting where the artist does a demonstration, workshop or tree critique.

BUS TRIPS AND CARPOOL TRIPS:
Our club has made a number of trips in the past. We visited Mary Madison (Buttonwood Queen) to buy cypress and buttonwoods. We also have visited Miami Tropical Bonsai in Miami for plants and pots. We have visited the Kawa (Daytona Beach) Club Bonsai Weekend in Bunnell to enjoy the festivities. All we need is a good idea of a place to go and we'll make the trip.

BSF CONVENTION:
BSF has an annual convention typically on Memorial Day Weekend. The convention is a fun event with headliners from around the world. There are demonstrations, workshops, vendors and a lot more. This a great opportunity to meet bonsaist from around the state and exchange ideas. Our Club always participates in "Club Nite". We usually do a forest planting that competes with other club's compositions for a cash prize. It is always fun!!!

MONTHLY PROGRAMS:
Our programs are geared toward learning about bonsai. We have artists from around the state that do programs for us in addition to our club members that do programs; they are always informative and interesting.

BONSAI NURSERIES:
We are fortunate to have four nurseries in our membership. On the fourth Sunday of each month, we have "Bonsai Under the Oaks" at Jim Smith's Nursery where anyone can come and get free advice on bonsai, be it trees, pots or any other problem.

We at the Treasure Coast Bonsai Society welcomes anyone that is interested in learning about bonsai to come to our meetings and meet new friends who share your passion for " The Art of Bonsai".
